How we do bathroom remodeling

Why waterproofing is where we spend our time

Tile is not waterproof. Grout lets water through, and an old shower without a proper membrane rots the framing slowly. We waterproof the pan and walls of every shower before a single tile goes on, and we test the pan for leaks before it is covered.

Valley water and your fixtures

Water around Modesto leaves mineral scale on glass and fixtures. We point out finishes that clean up easily and glass that resists spotting, so the new bathroom still looks new next year.

Small bathrooms

A floating vanity, a niche in the shower wall and a pocket door can make a 5 by 8 hall bath feel bigger without moving a wall. We will show you the options on the plan before you choose.

Bathroom remodeling questions

Can you turn my tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. It is one of the most common jobs we do. We remove the tub, rebuild the floor and drain for a shower pan, waterproof the walls, then tile and install glass.

Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel?

You need one when plumbing, electrical or walls change, which covers most full remodels. We pull it with your city or with Stanislaus County and schedule the inspections.

Will you show me if there is water damage?

Yes. If we find rot or mold behind the old tile, we stop, send you photos and give you a written price for the repair before doing it.

Do you build accessible bathrooms?

Yes. Grab bars set into blocking, curbless showers where the floor allows, comfort height toilets and wider doorways.
